Design Services

Consultation

Not sure where to start - then a consultation is likely just what you need.  Whether you've got an entire house to fill, just can't seem to figure out how to deal an odd shaped room, or you can’t seem to get the lighting right - a consultation is a great way to define your design needs and set your priorities.We can provide an in-home (in the Philadelphia, PA area) or online consultation.  Consultations are by the hour with the first hour being discounted by 50%.  Hourly rates start at $75/hr.

Staging/shopping

Maybe you’re selling your home, or hosting a special event, or you just want to polish up your act and need a little direction from an objective point of view.  Lots of times this is where people can get stuck – the devil really can be in the details, but we can help by offering suggestions by way of emailed photos or coming into your home to work with you to place your artwork, style your bookcases, or update your space with fresh seasonal accessories.  We can work together to determine what you may need to supplement, facelift or just flat out eliminate.

Once we've determined what the room needs, we can hit the trails to all of the best local or online shops to find just the right look for your needs.   Hourly rates apply.

by room

The a la carte, or room-by-room, service allows you to focus on one room at a time and can typically include:

• floor plan and/or elevation drawing
• design board
• lighting plan
• furniture selections
• paint color selections
• textile selections
• drapery/ window hardware selections

This approach typically works best for the client who enjoys shopping on his or her own and is really just looking for a roadmap to help them get where they want to go.  Selections will be made from readily available retailers.  Depending on the size of the room as well as the scope of work, these services can typically range anywhere from $300 to $1,500.

Full Service

This service entails all elements of interior design including: 

• design concept as described in the a la carte services detailed above, as well as,
• "to the trade" access to fabrics and furnishings houses that are only accessible to designers
• design and coordination of custom soft and hardgoods  (draperies, upholstered furniture, built-in casework, soft goods, etc)
• supervision of  design element installations
• collaboration with subcontractors
• final staging

Fees for full service design are $75/hour plus 25% of goods purchased.
