Hubbard's Cupboard

Old mother hubbard went to the cupboard to give her poor dog a bone, and when she went there, the cupboard was bare, not to mention dated, dusty, and completely interrupting the visual feng shui flow in her kitchen....

so the old gal got out her favorite Annie Sloan Antibes Green paint....

....and her favorite Purdy paint brush (the red solos are favorites for lotsa reasons around here, but in this case they make great mixing vessels...)

and she went straight to work, which was good thing, because old mother hubbard  is up against it in her workroom with such a backlog of projects that they have overflowed into her sunroom.  sometimes her husband, the pumpkin eater, wonders if he didn't marry the little old woman who lived in a shoe, with so many chairs she didn't know what to do... he's seriously getting ready to stuff her in a pumpkin shell.....

so she pat it and pricked it and marked it with a T, no, wait...., she painted it ASCP antibes green and filled it with very cute vintage glass chickens and majolica cabbage plates... yea, that's better...

then she topped it with the cutest flower sign...

...placed in her sugary pink kitchen with some cherry red gingham....

and in the end, this wonderful old cupboard was mother hubbard's delight, not to mention it greatly improved the feng shui in her kitchen... that poor old dog is gonna need to look for his bones elsewhere, 'cause this cupboard is too cute for dog bones now....

the end....
